The main thing is that what Hank teaches is nothing fancy, and it is completely adaptable to every student. The primary focus of his teaching is what he views as the appropriate swing plane. He does not believe the club should be swung on one plane, but on multiple planes that are parallel to the plane angle established when you address the ball. As the club gets higher in the backswing, it will move above its original angle, but it should remain parallel to it. At some point, as you turn the shoulders more, it will be the lead arm that remains parallel to the angle, while the club gets to parallel to the ground. At this point, the club should be parallel to the target line.
